Visit the Wine Trail by Houston

You don’t have to go all the way to Napa to enjoy some of the best wine in the country. Instead, visit the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail. Conveniently located between US Highway 290 and I-45, this trail has seven local wineries. Get in the car and drive from one winery to the next.

Cork This! Winery

Consider starting at Cork This! Winery, where you will find an assortment of custom made wines. You can even bottle your own wine or have the winery create a custom label for you.

Bernhardt Winery

Follow that up with a trip to Bernhardt Winery. It might be a small winery, but it produces about 6,000 gallons of wine each year. The Tuscan-style tasting room is the crown jewel of the winery, so stop by and enjoy some delicious flavors.

Peach Creek Vineyards

Continue on the trail to Peach Creek Vineyards. With five acres of vineyards, this winery is quaint and relaxing. It also has a tasting room and event pavilion.

Messina Hof Winery and Resort

Messina Hof Winery and Resort should be next on your list. The estate is on 100 acres, with 42 of those acres making up the vineyard. While many people go to taste the wines, others visit this location to take a cooking class or attend a food and wine-pairing seminar.

Windy Winery

You will come across Windy Winery next. The owners create the wine from Texas grapes and bottle everything onsite. You can learn quite a bit about Texas wine at this location.

Saddlehorn Winery

Once you finish your tour of Windy Winery, it will be time to visit Saddlehorn Winery. The winery and tasting room are in a horse barn that has been renovated. Try some of the wine, and then take in the scenic views you’ll find at the ranch.

Pleasant Hill Winery

You can finish your trip at Pleasant Hill Winery. This winery is owned by a husband and wife. Wine making is in their blood, as their grandparents were winemakers in Italy.

Make sure your trip to the wine trail goes smoothly by visiting Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, TX before you head out. You will be able to pick up a reliable and efficient Toyota so you won’t have to worry about a thing when you head out to the wine trail. You can even pick a Toyota with lots of cargo space so you’ll have ample room to bring home lots of bottles of wine.
