Starship Gallery

The Starship Gallery might be the coolest part of the entire space center, and that’s saying something. So, what’s so great about it? Well, for starters, it has one of the command modules from Apollo 17. This is a rare treat, and you will want to see it up close and in person.

Oh, and how about Faith 7? It was the last Mercury spacecraft to travel into orbit, and it’s right here for you to see.

Then, there are the moon rocks. This is the largest public display of moon rocks in the world, and the collection is quite impressive.

You can even see the podium John F. Kennedy stood behind when he gave his famous speech about going to the moon.

See why this is considered the coolest exhibit at the space center?

Rocket Park

You’ll also want to take a tram tour to Rocket Park. Rocket Park is home to the Saturn V rocket, which is the largest and most powerful rocket to ever hit the skies. There are only three of these rockets on display in the entire world. It’s amazing that you can see this right here in Houston.

Astronaut Gallery

Have you ever seen a spacesuit up close? If not, now is your chance. Head to Astronaut Gallery to see various spacesuits. You can also see Sally Ride’s shuttle in-flight coveralls, Deke Slayton’s ASTP Pressure Suit, and other cool artifacts. It’s interesting to see how different suits are used for different activities in space. Then, before you leave the gallery, you can look at the Crew Portrait Wall. Every astronaut who has ever gone to space is on that wall.

You are going to see some cool artifacts at Space Center Houston. You’ll likely fall in love with the spacecraft and might even wish you could fly in one. Spacecraft is perfect for trips to the moon, but they aren’t a reliable form of transportation to travel around Houston. Fortunately, Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, Texas, has you covered when it comes to hitting the roadways. Stop by before your trip to the space center. We might not have spacecraft, but we do have the full lineup of Toyotas.
