If your kids love Clifford the Big Red Dog, they are in for a treat. The Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit will be at The Woodlands Children’s Museum through May 12, and it will let kids explore Clifford’s world.
The exhibit is available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays–Saturdays, and it’s open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $7 for everyone aged 1 and up. Members get in for free. Family membership is $79, and you can go to the museum as often as you want for a year.
Whether you sign up for membership or pay the daily admission fee, you’ll have a blast at this exhibit. Check out some of the most exciting aspects of the exhibit.
The Ferry Ride
When you enter the exhibit, you’ll hop on a ferry to navigate to Birdwell Island. Kids can help steer the ferry as it floats along the ocean waves on the way to the destination. The three-dimensional map of the island will help them stay on course during the trip.
Samuel’s Fish and Chips Shack
If your kids love roleplaying, they’ll have a ball at Samuel’s Fish and Chips Shack. The kids can take your order for some fish and chips and even ring you up to the register. They can also serve the food and stock the shelves.
Clifford The Big Red Dog’s Doghouse
Your kids also won’t want to miss a chance to see Clifford The Big Red Dog’s Doghouse. Sliding down Clifford’s tale is sure to generate some laughs, and the kids can step inside the doghouse and create some art. Be sure they display their work inside the doghouse or mail their creations to one of the residents of Birdwell Island.
Birdwell Island Post Office
The Birdwell Island Post Office is one of the top attractions at the exhibit. Kids find out what it’s like to work in the post office. They’ll have so much fun sorting mail and delivering letters. This is an excellent way to teach them how the mail system works.
