Halloween is one of the most exciting holidays of the year. After all, when else do you get an excuse to dress up however you want and spend the evening begging for candy? But Halloween is about more than trick-or-treating, and there are going to be exciting events all around the Houston area for those who are looking to kick their celebration up a notch. One of the best festivals around? The 9th Annual Houston Halloween Fest, of course!
This year, this popular festival is going to take place on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It’ll be at the 200 to 300 blocks of 19th Street right here in Houston, so no excuses – it’s going to be easy to get to. The festival is open to the public, but a $10 donation would be appreciated if you want to do your part to support this endeavor. Now, find out more about what you’ll find when you come out to celebrate at this festival.
No matter what kind of celebration you go to, you probably want to enjoy plenty to eat, and you won’t be disappointed at this Halloween fest. With so many food trucks to choose from, you never know what you might find. Whether you want to indulge in some street food or would rather stick to something healthy, you’re going to find dishes that answer any craving you might be having. Be sure to check out some special seasonal treats.
Need something to wash down your food with? No worries. Just head to one of the beer tents located around the festival. Sure, it’s always great to enjoy a beer, but buying from these beer tents do something else positive for your community. The proceeds will go toward the Pup Squad Animal Rescue, which means that you know you’re doing something positive for local animals with every drink you enjoy.
