November is known as the month of giving. This is in part due to the Thanksgiving holiday where friends and family are celebrated and we come together to give thanks for all of the many positive things in our lives. Instead of giving thanks for just one day out of the year, why not make an entire month out of the notion of giving thanks?
After all, there are many people who might be in a less fortunate circumstance this holiday season. From health issues to money problems, there are people who need our help. What better way to give thanks than to give back and help those in need? For those of us who have extra time and money to spare, we can use our good fortune to help those in need. If you want to attend an event for the entire family that not only lets you have some fun but allows you to support a great cause along the way, consider attending the Via Colori Street Painting Festival!
About the Festival
The Via Colori 2019 Festival will be held on Saturday, November 23 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday, November 24 at 5:00 p.m. The event takes place at Downtown City Hall in Houston, Texas. As you might be aware, each year the streets surrounding Houston’s City Hall are covered in colored chalk. Whether you’re an amateur artist or a professional, you’ll enjoy creating your very own piece of art for others to see.
In fact, the Via Colori Festival will feature more than 280 local, national, and international artists that will create beautiful murals all throughout the streets of downtown Houston. There will be three stages of live music, a family zone, food and beverage vendors, and much more.
There are several ticket options for the event:
- General Admission – The General Admission ticket costs $5.00 which is considered a donation and tax-deductible.
- VIP – With a VIP ticket, you are granted access to the VIP only mini-events as well as the VIP areas located throughout the festival. You gain access to the VIP Lounge which gives you complimentary food and beverages.
- Free Tickets – That’s right! Children under the age of 18 get in for free!
